Joel is the co-owner of Blogger Armoire, a luxury designer resale boutique whose flagship location is in the heart of Edmonton’s 124 St. neighbourhood. He is renowned for his impeccable taste and thoughtful style counsel, and beloved for his dry sense of humour.
Dallas is the photographer and creative director behind Luminarie Creative, which provides photography + creative direction for people and brands. Her speciality is putting people at ease and creating portraits that help her clients shine in both life and business.
We are friends who’ve combined forces to create a collaborative package of services that align with your elevated business and personal branding needs.

HOW IT WORKS
BOOK. Schedule your session at a time that works for you.
QUESTIONNAIRE. Shortly after booking, you’ll receive a link to a brief questionnaire
PERSONAL STYLING. On the day of your appointment, arrive at Blogger Armoire’s flagship location in Edmonton’s 124 St. neighbourhood. Based on your questionnaire, Joel (co-owner of Blogger Armoire) will have pulled a rack of options for you to wear during your session. His goal is for you to end up with three refined looks that feel fabulous on you. You are also welcome to explore 4000 square foot location if anything else catches your eye. Expect your personal styling session to take approximately 30 minutes.
PORTRAIT SESSION. After you’ve selected your two looks, join Dallas of Luminarie Creative for a 20 minute headshot session. Dallas will offer lots of guidance and gentle posing direction to ensure you feel comfortable and confident and that you look your absolute best.
WRAP UP. After your portraits, you are welcome to apply the store credit included in your session fee towards any purchases, but there is no pressure to shop if you would like time to consider.
POST-PRODUCTION. Within a week of your CURATED session, you’ll receive a link to your proofing gallery, from which you can select your favourite images, which Dallas will then retouch for you within one week.
DELIVERY. Voila! Fresh and stylish portraits are delivered in a beautiful online gallery. Download, share, update all your profiles, and enjoy!

Plan for 30 minutes for personal styling and 20 minutes for your portraits, so approximately 1 hour in total!

Our plan is approximately every other month!

The backdrop for your headshots is a hand-painted canvas backdrop in a greige colour. It is quite subtle and classy!

Absolutely. I am happy to use either a constant light (LED video light) if that is helpful. I have migraine disease myself and understand that flashing lights can trigger all kinds of unpleasantness for some people. I can also move my backdrop closer to the window and we can use natural light instead.

Blogger Armoire is a consignment store and the inventory depends on who is consigning at a given time. If you have questions about sizing, please contact Blogger Armoire directly before booking.

Of course! We can send you a list of recommended makeup and hair artists in advance of your shoot. Just let us know you’re looking and we’ll send it your way.

We typically set up the backdrop in a semi-private area within the store.

Your investment in a curated session includes $100 in store credit for Blogger Armoire.

Not at all! You have access to 4000 square feet of luxury clothing to borrow during your shoot as part of this service. Think of it as a fun movie montage scene where the heroine (you!) gets to try on some fabulous outfits and sashay in front of her companions (us!). If you love anything you wear during your session, you are welcome to apply your store credit towards any purchases.
