Luminarie has a structured client experience that is clear, transparent, reassuring, and comfortable.

You will always be given you a heads-up of of what’s coming, instructions and tips on how to prepare, and never left wondering what to expect. You’ll feel comfortable knowing how we’re taking care of your needs each step along the way.

When it comes time to shoot together, you will enjoy a professional, organized and efficient experience that will feel as comfortable as spending time with a trusted friend.

A step-by-step guide of what to expect

  1. Connect. Through email, a phone call, or Zoom, we will get to know each other. This is when you tell us what you’re dreaming about for your images and we can determine if we are a perfect fit. For first-time brand clients, we will do a complimentary 30-minute Creative Consultation. Returning clients always have the option of a call to reconnect and talk through ideas, too!

    Ready to connect and kick things off?

  2. Proposal. We’ll send you over a proposal that outlines the various packages and add-ons available. You choose the one that’s right for you. Then we’ll set a shoot date and you’ll be directed to your online client portal, where you can sign your contract and pay your 50% retainer (a.k.a. non-refundable booking fee.)

  3. It’s official. Once your paperwork is complete, your shoot is officially booked! Right away, you automatically receive links to my favourite resources to help you plan everything from your shot list to your outfits.

  4. Questionnaire. We’ll send you over a questionnaire to learn more about you and your vision for your shoot. Depending on the nature of our shoot, we may ask you to send me any inspiration, mood boards, or any kind of creative brief that can guide our work together.

  5. Planning. After reading over your questionnaire, we’ll follow up with you with any questions or bursts of inspiration. This is when we finalize all the fun details of your shoot: location, timing, themes, props, etc.

— SHOOT DAY —

  1. Proofing (for brand clients). You will receive a proofing gallery, from which you make your selections based on your brand + your needs. You notify me that you’ve made your selections, and I get to work on processing your favourites. FYI Portrait clients, you skip this step. I take care of curating your images.

  2. Post-processing. This is where the magic happens. Your images are lovingly edited and retouched in the Luminarie Creative style, but tailored slightly to suit the needs of each individual client.

  3. Special delivery! You’ll receive your images in a private online gallery. We hope you love them. The number of images varies based on the type of shoot! All package information and deliverables are outlined clearly in your proposal and can be found in the brand photography services and portrait photography services sections of our website.

  4. Prints + products. You are welcome to order beautiful prints, albums and other products straight from your gallery in one fell swoop. You will see mock-ups of products available in your gallery with your own images previewed, to give you a sense of what beautiful tangible products are available to you.

  5. See you soon! I can’t wait to see you whenever you’re ready for a fresh set of images. As a client, you receive updates about Luminarie’s upcoming offerings, seasonal events and exciting news. You can also sign up to receive resources and calendars for upcoming key dates to think about as well as options for when working together would be best suited to your business or life.
